FORMER CNN CHAIRMAN AND CEO CHRIS LICHT TO KEYNOTE THE NEW YORK PRESS CLUB’S 2024 CONFERENCE ON JOURNALISM AT FORDHAM UNIVERSITY LINCOLN CENTER
Chris Licht, former Chairman and CEO of CNN Worldwide, will be the keynote speaker at the 2024 New York Press Club Conference on Journalism. His talk will focus on the future of legacy media.
The event will be held Saturday, November 23rd, beginning at 8:30 am, at the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business, 140 W 62 Street, between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.
The conference will feature a plenary panel entitled, Talking Turkey: Uncovering Scandal at City Hall, Story by Story. It will feature: Moderator Errol Louis of Spectrum News NY1, George Joseph of The Guardian, Dana Rubinstein of The New York Times and Emily Ngo of Politico.
Additional break-out panel discussions will be:
Climate Election: The Next Hot Topic for the White House with Moderator Vanessa Murdock of CBS2 News New York, Ella Nilsen of CNN, Tracy Tullis of Newsday and Scott Waldman of Politico’s E & E News;
Freelancing: The Alternative Path to a Journalism Career with Moderator Chandra Bozelko, Jessica Cunnington, Photojournalist Lloyd Mitchell and Ross Barkan, and
Goal! Breaking intoSports Journalism with Moderator “Bobby C” Ciafardini of WFUV, Judy Battista of NFL Media, Kristian Winfield of the Daily News and Mark Cannizzaro of the New York Post.
Get Them Talking, a workshop focusing on interviewing techniques conducted by veteran journalist Brad Hamilton of the Hatch Institute,
The cost for the six-hour conference is $50 for non-members and $40 for members. There is also a student price of $20. All include breakfast, snacks and beverages provided throughout the day.
